About

Alan Wilkis is a composer, music producer and remixer, or as Time Out NY once put it, a “Brooklyn studio whiz.” He has recorded and released two critically-acclaimed solo albums to date (”Pink and Purple” and “Babies Dream Big”), and has created official remixes for Yeasayer, RJD2, Phoenix, The Temper Trap, Phantogram, The Very Best, Shwayze, and many more. As noted by The Independent, Alan is “quickly becoming the go-to guy for remixes among the indie sector.” His unique ability to pick the right artists to work with and his highly-specialized approach to the art of remixing has wowed listeners around the globe.
His music has been in frequent rotation on KCRW, KEXP, BBC, Sirius/XM, East Village Radio, and NPR, and he’s topped the Hypemachine and Elbo.ws charts many times. Alan’s work has been called “brilliant” by NME and been featured on MTV.com, Entertainment Weekly, Paper Magazine, Prefix Magazine, Stereogum, AOL’s Spinner, Okayplayer, URB, Filter Magazine, and countless others.
He has also composed original work for and licensed his music to Hutchinson Bikes, Billabong, GOOD Magazine, Mountain Dew, IFC’s “Dinner with the Band,” Pinkberry, Uniqlo, NIKA Water, and various others.
This is his blog.
